How we curate & verify

Poker Beacon is a curator, not a publisher. We don't invent facts — we find the authoritative sources, check they're current, explain them clearly, and link them so you can verify everything yourself.

Where a page comes from

Every page is built from a referential: a structured set of sourced entities (terms, vendors, regulations) assembled before any page is written. Content is generated from that foundation — never the other way around.

The voice is an editorial brand, not a fabricated persona. We don't claim personal experience we don't have; the authority lives in the sources we cite.

Who checks what

Agents draft and judge; no figure, price, law or date is invented by a model, and every published claim traces to a reference. A page is published when its sourcing floor is met — every source verified against the document itself. Independent automated review is a separate, additional signal, shown on the page when it holds.

A human reads published pages afterwards and signs what they have read. That signature records a reading; it does not gate publication, and no page waits on it.

We check on a cadence

Sources have a last-verified date, shown on each page. A regulation change or a dead link flags the affected pages stale so we can refresh them. Source health is part of the product.

Money never drives the verdict

Some outbound links are affiliate links, disclosed in the first viewport. They never determine our ranking or verdict — those come from the sourced comparison. Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored".

Who does what — and what each may not do

Every step is performed by a named role with explicitly forbidden powers. No role can write, source and judge the same page.

  • agent:redaction Writes the page from the referential. May not : Promote a source · review a page it wrote itself.
  • agent:verification Fetches the document, finds the quotation mechanically inside the archived copy, and promotes the source. May not : Approve the content — it holds a veto only · date a promotion with no archived copy.
  • agent:controle Delivers one review pass, on one declared angle. May not : Hold two angles on the same page · validate text it wrote.
  • agent:refutation Tries to bring the claim down — the only angle that votes against by default. May not : Approve · be the same agent as another refutation of the same page.
  • sonde Re-fetches every link and replays every stored quotation, nightly. May not : Judge content · promote a source.
  • relecteur Reads an already-published page and signs that they have read it. May not : Lift a page into the index · block a publication.

How we rate a source

  • Verified / official. A government body, regulator, or manufacturer's own specification — checked and current.
  • Provisional. Real and useful, but not yet fully verified or subject to change — flagged honestly rather than hidden.
  • Out of date. A source that has moved or aged past our freshness threshold — queued for refresh.
