Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion is a formal agreement a person enters into not to gamble, described by Britain's gambling regulator as a tool for those who recognise their gambling is harming them.

Once agreed, the business must close the account, return any balance and strip the person from its marketing lists; if they try to gamble during the period, it must take reasonable steps to stop them. Multi-operator schemes cover the same type of land-based gambling in an area from one request, and a separate scheme does the same for online operators.
