From highest to lowest they run royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pairs, one pair, high card. Aces are high, all suits rank equally, and an ace plays low when it starts a straight or straight flush. The highest ranking hand takes the pot; identical hands split it.
