Equity
Equity is the share of the pot a player expects to earn, computed under the assumption that no further betting occurs and using only the cards in that player's hand together with the cards already revealed on the board.

It is obtained by multiplying the player's probability of winning by the size of the pot. Subtracting the cost of a player's betting actions from equity gives expected profit. A simulation study of Texas Hold'em treats changes in equity from card deals as luck and changes from betting decisions as skill.
